Looks like the first batch of Extended menu boards are in, patiently waiting for mine, curious to see some before and after pics!

Has anyone worked out a way of changing H Frequency on the D29C051 yet?

Yes, with the team of Neo Arcadia, we have try to find the hfreq autoset on this model.Rossyra wrote:Has anyone worked out a way of changing H Frequency on the D29C051 yet?
We don't find anything. I thinh the autoset is only avaible on the D29CQ56.

Shame I have one PCB that causes the raster to curve slightly in the top 1-2cms. I think a H Freq adjustment is all it needs to fix.

Have you tried the pin balance top (PBT) and pin corner top (PCT) settings?

Yeah I did, it doesn't help. It's just one PCB, I bet if I put my MVS mobo in it would be the same though.

Can add a 'me too' here. Taito boards have the problem, and so do Data East ones. Capcom, Cave, Namco, Toaplan were all fine (tested a selection of games from each) - it's definitely a H FREQ issue.Rossyra wrote:Shame I have one PCB that causes the raster to curve slightly in the top 1-2cms. Maybe one day a monitor wizard will discover the way to change it, or a service manual will magically appear.

Did you try to change the PSU or 110/220 convertor? I had this problem with some old konami boards (sunset riders for example). After changing PSU (now i've a Sun HQ), I have no more of those issues.system11 wrote:Can add a 'me too' here. Taito boards have the problem, and so do Data East ones. He means the sun PSU I think. To be fair I don't think tosh CRT was designed for older jam a games with odd h/v refresh rates.Rossyra wrote:I'm using a 100v Airlink and a mains filter already

Add me too, just finished my AWSD with Tosh PF screen and wanted it to be my MVS cab...but no, I got that "curve".Rossyra wrote:Shame I have one PCB that causes the raster to curve slightly in the top 1-2cms. I think a H Freq adjustment is all it needs to fix.
...should put back the K29CQ50 in the AWSD...

There must be a way to change the H freq, seems crazy for there not to be.

Re: Toshiba Pure Flat (D29CQ56) Extended Menu
Sure is, the K29CQ50 can do it in the OSD and the D29C451 has a pot for it.Rossyra wrote:There must be a way to change the H freq, seems crazy for there not to be.
But how on the D29C051...?

Are these boards still being made and sold? Or am I too late?

Re: Toshiba Pure Flat (D29CQ56) Extended Menu
I ordered 4 of them from Firewall last month. My understanding is that he made a new batch recently, so I assume he still has some left. Send him a PM and I'm sure he will reply to you.

I made my own extentionboard with the extra funtions. Easy with all the info in the Wiki.
