Post by garou81 »

I would like to know if there is a way to check if my impress monitor does 24k and 15k and if it does how do i change the settings. I stumbled across this manual but of course I cant read it, if anyone can make heads or tails from these 3 pages please feel free to post.

It does. From the look of the manual you move the video input connector from the 15k input to the 24k input.

As above you move the 5 pin connector to the 24K socket.

ohhhhh I didn't know that the Capcom Impress does 24 khz . Does that mean if I set mine to 24 khz it will still display the 15 khz games or do you always have to switch back and forth?

You only set to 24 khz for medium res games.

Here is the manual.

thanks kernow. I don't know much about 24 khz. Do you know what games use it? Or if it will upconvert the signal from 15 khz if you use it? Any site you can point me to which would help with this would be excellent aswell.

The Sega System 24 games all need it. Stuff like Gain Ground, Crack Down, Scramble Spirits. Good games, but tend to be a bit weird and very love or hate. I'd love to get a Scramble Spirits as it's the only vertical shooter I've ever heard of that's 100% hand drawn sprites and runs in 24k.
Stronger then your average deadite.
