The so-called normal prices are the freak sales in the age of Grail.

Not really, not talking rare onces though.
Don't get me wrong, pices increased, no doubt, but a bare Ibara for 700€ ? Or a bare Espgaluda 2 for 650€ ? I don't think so.

The freak prices have set the new baseline for years, and especially so recently. Yes it's stupid, we've debated it for years but that certainly hasn't stopped it. What makes those an exception?

Re: You've Got Grail
The discussion has been going on for years. PCBs are getting harder and harder to find. Long gone are the days of Japanese resellers have plentiful stock.
So you've got rising prices in Japan, poorer exchange rates in the East, increased shipping costs worldwide.
Then you have, collectors that don't sell. Price gougers that only buy to flip for profit and "players" that bitch about the prices.
Even before all this, Cools pointed out the issue of people buying at X then
Round 1: X + fees + shipping (Y)
Round 2: Y + fees + shipping (Z)
Round 3: Z + fees + shipping.........
The bigger the community gets, the less community spirit there is. You might cut a deal for someone you know, but a brand new member rocking up with a wanted thread, no chance.

What basis do you have to say Ketsui can't fetch £800Ibara, £600 shipped.

Last DS sold for under 400. Good for the buyer. If it were offered for 600, it had been sold same ways.

Cave PCB owners already have, if prices carry on up at this rate I'll be able to retire soon.

Re: You've Got Grail
I dunno, I reckon the rinsers have won more than anyone on the back of these price surges.
