[WTB] Namco Cyberlead parts (Color LED Marquee, Control panel metal & plexi, JAMMA to JVS Board or loom)

Postby AMurderOfCrows » March 14th, 2017, 5:00 pm

EDIT: Got one JAMMA to JVS board thanks to a kind soul here.

Still looking for the control panel and the Color LED Marquee, and a second JAMMA to JVS Board or a JAMMA to JVS Wired loom.

My Namco made JAMMA to JVS board may have died a few months ago, and I was already looking for a second one anyway. I know these are expensive and crazy difficult to find, but i'm hoping someone has one they are willing to let go of for a reasonable price.

I am also in the market for parts for my cyberleads, including a replacement multi-color LED display and a 2p6b control panel

I thought i had an ad here but i can't find it anymore. This means either it was deleted or i'm completely forgetful. Didn't see a reason for why it would have been deleted though, so here comes a second try.

thanks in advance, and especially thanks to those who helped out thus far.

There is a JVS/Jamma NOS on ebay for around $500

yeah, that's what inspired me to come here. $500 is more than i paid for either of my cabs. Surely someone out there has that board for less.

Being a Cyberlead owner myself, I know how hard it is to source parts...

Yep, it's a shame that the arcade market has become so inflated as the parts get rarer and rarer.

I am about to strip my Cyber Lead to sell in parts. I have the colour LED unit, a 2L12B and the JVS converter. Those pieces together will be outsize for conventional post so you are looking at minimum 50 USD in shipping before we even talk about the value of the items themselves.

If you are serious about obtaining this stuff drop me a PM, otherwise I'll be listing the stuff next week on the forum.

FYI: All marketplace posts expire after a period of inactivity here, that's why you can't find your old ad.

hadn't bumped this as i thought i had all my problems solved a couple of weeks ago, but it appears that the deal may not actually happen for the biggest need. In anticipation of that, i'm bumping the post for a JAMMA-JVS board to try to see if there might be anyone else out there willing/able to sell one to me at a reasonable price.

I'm holding out hope that the original deal will be honored so I won't commit to anyone else who has one until after April 2nd (and i'm still raising the funds for the original deal's asking price), but if i can't make my cabs work again, i have to seriously reconsider keeping them. It was hard enough to find 1 of those boards in the first place, but now that i actually need 2 again (or i need to figure out what is wrong with the first board), and the only ebay offering was $500 (which was more than the price of each cab), it may just be time to let the dream go.

I've been looking for about 2 years now across multiple forums, facebook groups, retail websites, contacts in japan, yahoo auctions, ebay, and so on. I passed on a river service board because of the lag issues reported on them, and now i'm wondering if that wasn't a mistake as well.

Out of interest, what's a reasonable price?

You snooze, you lose I'm afraid. Best to jump quickly on items you really want whenever they're available.

What snooze? i contacted him to find out what timeline i had, then informed him my intent and started going for it. he did not inform me there were other interested parties or that the item was offered to anyone else.

We all have paycheck periods. mine just happens to come at the end of the month.

Had you agreed a price and committed to buy?

Why put a wanted ad up if you can't commit?

You just trolling now? seems like you want a lot of information regarding something that isn't helpful to the post request or any of your business.

But yes, from my perspective, we had a deal. Price point was set, i attempted negotiation, was told price was firm, i agreed due to lack of other options and the price being not too out of my range...Once payday hits, and once my event hits, which is April 1st.

I won't speak to his side of things.

Now, good sir, if i've provided enough info for you, if you don't have information or said items to sell or trade to me, i'll kindly ask you to remain to topic or leave the thread.

Thanks!

I'm not trolling

I just added that, in my opinion, it's better to commit quickly to items you really want and have been hunting for for ages. I've learnt that the hard way and was just offering some advice. No need to get abrasive.

I don't need to know and have stopped caring, so won't ask any more questions.

Best of luck finding these parts.

I apologize. It just seemed like you wanted to lecture me about things i really can't change as opposed to offering suggestions on where i might find the parts. I'm not trying to be abrasive, it just didn't seem like the advice you were trying to give was going to be all that helpful in changing the outcome of what happened or getting another board.

Thank you for the well wishes. Again, i apologize for coming off like a dick :-(

Big thanks to you.

Seems my deals with the other seller have now completely fallen through, despite multiple PMs being sent since the 25th and mentioning I got paid early and had money in hand on March 31st, i got not a single response, and now apparently the parts are gone. Kinda think of it as a bunch of malarkey but whatever, onward and upward.

Bump! Looking for the color LED Marquee for the cyberlead now.

Well, it seems like my luck is absolute crap.

Not only did a board get sold to someone else without the seller talking with me about our arrangement, but the board i did end up getting has the exact same problem as my original board.

So, still looking for a JAMMA to JV i/o board, or someone who might know how to repair the 2 that i currently have.

You have two boards that both have the same problem? You sure it's not something else?

How are they exactly 'dead'?

EDIT: nevermind, I just noticed your thread!
