Sega Naomi JVS control loom pinout

Post by FrancoB »

I've been looking for a pinout for the control looms on my Net CIty but I couldn't find one so I pulled my finger out of my **** and got my multimeter and figured them out. :) I thought it may help someone if they were looking for something similar. Please let me know if I have made any mistakes.

The grids represent the 12 and 10 pin AMP connectors as if looking from the back of the male connectors or front of the female ones.

Fairly common knowledge. There's some pictures up on the Wiki of the actual AMP connectors and what their pins do, including the extended 5 button wiring for the 12 pin connectors (which I can confirm at least button 4 works. My cabinet is wired as such. Looking to revert to kick harness soon)

Still, nice to see these again.

These are the same pinouts used in New Astro, and I'd imagine just about everything else for that matter...

I have a source for cheaper AMP connectors, I'll be buying some and making sure they work before making any offers though.

You can order samples of them straight from Tyco Electronics.

[Here]

I thought the Wiki was pretty sparse until I realised that it was deeper than the front page

Naah, that's the old picture which is wrong (wrong name..) - the naomi info should be linked to one page, instead of having copies..

Here is the updated:
http://arcadeotaku.com/wiki/index.php/S ... _Universal - including manual for the connectors..
I make and sell cool Arcade stuff, check out https://irkenlabs.com/ - In The Name of Science!

Just thinking out loud, seeing as Cabs far older than the Naomi universal use these, maybe we should put these in their own page?
