Getting -5v from a NVS-4000-01

Post by JackieHarris »

I have a New Astro City with a NVS-4000-01 PSU. From what I can find online, this thing doesn't output -5v. Sure enough, no reading on the -5v on the board, and when I try running Raiden I've got no sound.

Maybe a stupid question, but is there any scope at all for getting -5v from this thing, or any kind of workaround? Or is my only choice to replace it (or accept silent Raiden play)?

You can make up an inline adapter for your jamma connector with a negatron to give a -5v

Perfect, thanks! I didn't know about that. Will pick one up.
