New Net City and London victorian houses

Post by ddd »

Hi,

I m eyeing on a New Net City (to be fitted with a JVS-PAC so I could use it with MAME as well).
My problem is the following: my dear wife would not considering it acceptable to have the cabinet in our living room... (apparently it is "ugly on a good day")
My only option is to put it in our room (or my son's room)... on the first floor.

Has anyone managed to bring a New Net City through the narrow staircase of a typical London house ?

Is dismantling the cab a valid option ?

Side question, has anyone translated the Japanese New Net City manual ?

Kind regards,
D.

Tell her you are putting it in the front room, so you can strip it and take it upstairs, then never do it.

Can you easily separate it in two: the monitor and the lower part?

All right... Well I need to wrap my head around the JVS-PAC + New Net City + MAME part and make my decision....

Has anyone documented a tutorial for modding his New Net City before ?

My door is about 29.5 in wide (or 75 cm). Can I really get the cabinet through it ???

I had to dismantle my NNC to get it through the front door
So I was lucky it was not raining on the day as it was sat on the drive looking sorry for itself
It's a really easy cab to dismantle and rebuld
Just make sure you have someone on hand to help with the monitor removal

Same here, I moved house on Friday, and had to fully dismantle 8 NNCs/Chopped Naomi's to get them through 3 doorways and out of the house, to then have to reassemble them all on the back of a Luton van in minus 2 degrees temperatures.....love this hobby

They are so very easy to take apart though :D
