Hey,
after a few months I assembled my naomi again and a dead PSU greeted me (fan just tries to spin for half a second and than stops; monitor is working ok; io board does not seem to get any power).
After taking a look at the PSU I was kind of surprised to see this hackjob:

this does not seem very original ... this is the label (Q-Tec ADT 350). I could not find any link to sega universals when googling the PSU:

soo my question .. since its already this way, can I get any 350w ATX PSU and use the "custom" wire connector or should I get the same model?

Re: Sega Naomi Universal - Power Supply died - how to fix?
Your best option would probably be to find a Sun psu (as supplied in Naomi's originally) and simply replace the cable that is 'hacked' onto it at present...
Mo (videotronics) probably has both available as he was parting out some NNCs a while ago.
I'm sure that you can use an ATX psu in its place, but I'm not sure how easy it is to adjust voltages on them? Perhaps someone with more knowledge can help...
