AWSD Xbox 360 Sound add
Hi there,
I connected my 360 to my Atomiswave.
Padhack done works fine.
VGA cable- extron RGB 31khz works fine.
So I got the 2 RCA stereo out from the VGA cable.
I can't find a Taito Stereo Amp.
What is the best option getting Sound from the Cab?
Thanks

Re: AWSD Xbox 360 Sound add
I had to deal with same issue. For me, I got a pair of USB powered speakers, that took a 1/8" headphone jack, hooked up the rca's with a female rca to 1/8"headphone adapter, and set the speakers on top of the AWSD. That way I didnt have to destroy my original harness....but eventually, I would like a more *in cabinet* solution, and will watch this thread.

Instead of a Stereo Amp, you could just get a 2.1 system for computers, and just use the subwoofer as an amplifier. You will get massive bass too! Run the speaker output of the woofer to the Left/Right inputs on the cabinets service area (with the Mono/Stereo switch etc. Disclaimer: I don't own an AWSD, so I just had a quick look in the manual. Your cabinet has a Left/Right input, right?

Indeed, they have separate connections. Right now they set on mono ofc.
Well I don't like the idea of a pc speaker setup. Maybe I can use a jamma fingerboard for audio?

Emphatic's suggestion doesn't involve using PC speakers, only the subwoofer as an Amp

They're not the only company that makes arcade amps. :roleyes:Makoto wrote:I can't find a Taito Stereo Amp.
Other brands are readily available, like this Konami one for example.

Or just some TDA7297 based amp. Costs like two quid. It has screw terminals, so super easy to wire up.

I have it in two of my cabs. Plenty loud enough.

Exactly. You just need to power it. Something like this:FcoBenitez wrote:Emphatic's suggestion doesn't involve using PC speakers, only the subwoofer as an Amp
Add the 360 sound to the input, connect the RCA to the cabinet, job done.

Not sure, Franco may be able to help as he build an adapter for mine.

Re: AWSD Xbox 360 Sound add
I put one of these in my cab:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-1-Two-Chann ... XQEgpTFMqL
...connected it directly to the cab's speakers with speaker wire and to the 360 VGA cable with female to female RCA plugs. Sits behind the coin return door to make the volume knob accessible. A little pricey of a solution maybe, but it works great!

Re: AWSD Xbox 360 Sound add
Guess I'll get one of those little amps and get some jst connectors. Best option I think if I don't want one more power cord.
