Hi everyone,
I'm very new to the world of Candy Cabs, and have just got my hands on a Sega Blast City cab.
But there is one question that I would please like some help with.
As a whole it seems to be in very good condition, the only immediate issue that I have found is that the power cut-off switch in the front PCB-loading panel is over-sensitive.
For example, if you hammer the button a bit too much so that the front door shakes, the switch will trip and the machine turns off, thinking that the front access panel is open.
Is there a quick or simple method to circumvent or disable the power cut-off switch for this front door?
Or a way that anyone can think of to easily fix this issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

a cable tie, to tie that button down. I did that, worked ever since.

Re: Sega Blast City Power cut-off issues
That would definitely be a quick and simple solution!
I had wondered if an elastic band would do the job, but didn't want it perishing.
Thanks for the reply

Alternatively, remove it completely and loop the cables on the connector.

Re: Sega Blast City Power cut-off issues
An elastic band wont be strong enough. Bassically it's as suggested, yuou either take it out of the cab or use a cable tie. Personally, I went for the cable tie as it means I've not modified anything from stock in a perminant way and I wont lose the switch! It's been running for 2.5 years with teh one cable tie and it's fine. Until then I had experianced exactly the same issues as yourself.

I had LemonyVengence (over on arcade-projects or neo-geo) make me a loopback connector that plugs in place of that switch. I used a zip tie for a while with good success but when it came off I had a heart attack lol.
