I think from what I've read, that noise comes from the flyback. It might be the source of your problems.n3o2o1o wrote:HI, today i've get my 2nd MVS U4 (in 25" this time, the other one is a 29")
I have some work to do on it (paint), but it have a problem with the TOEI board , hope i c an repair it quickly (i have no image and can hear some kind of whistle near the big caps)

The whistling will come from the flyback. It doesn't mean it is broken, and with luck, it might go away on its own (at least mine did).

Not necessarily, it might be another coil whining.

There is some company in Europe that actually makes replacements for that. I saw a new one on ebay.robotype wrote:hi, I am looking for this one in hi-res printable size if it was ever made (it's not in the wiki)

Do you know the name of this part or have a link? Mine is broken so I'll need to either get a replacement or make one somehow.Deneteus wrote:There is some company in Europe that actually makes replacements for that. BTW, I just saw the photos you uploaded, let me know if you happen to remember which paint you used for your MVS u4. Thanks!

Re: Any MVS-U4 Owners Out There
Previous owner of my cab bolted a 6 button metal panel that pressed into it and the stress of people leaning onto that panel cracked it. Now that I have the right size control panel, I'm going to see if I can get something from gameongrafix that's thick enough, or else put their CPO material onto like a thin acrylic piece

Re: Any MVS-U4 Owners Out There
Hi, for around how much do these cabs go? I just purchased a MVS 4u board and these will be sweet to couple it with, instead of rewiring a cab.
BTW can anybody tell me the depth once the CP is removed?

Re: Any MVS-U4 Owners Out There
My CPOverlay from GameOnGrafix came, the material was really nice, but the one problem is either them or me mis-sized the graphic that's floating around the internet. I should have scaled the image to make sure the blue bordered portion was the length of the control panel, rather than the entire image. It doesn't look so bad, and I know now for the next time when I get another cpo for my 4 button panel. The material is really nice, got that textured look you see on American panels that I guess is their main product.

Re: Any MVS-U4 Owners Out There
I could have sworn I found one, but I'm combing all my computers and coming up with nothing, which is really frustrating. Hopefully someone has this somewhere.
