..and files are uploaded to the wiki.

All files have a cutting contour so any print shop worth its name should be able to print and cut directly from the files.

Special credit goes to Jubei, julius blaze and Spawnone for scanning and measuring their stickers and plastics, thanks guys.

The monitor is not 25 inches, I know there are some arbitrary differences between the way JPN and USA monitors are measured but mine is 23" diagonal viewable. How do I edit the wiki, there's not a lot of good info on the cab out there and I'd like to contribute.

You'll have trouble as your username was created before the wiki was installed and contains an underscore, so you can't log in.

PM me an updated forum username (without any special characters). I'll change it and you'll be able to log in to the wiki.

I think that's just the different way the monitor size is measured in different parts of the world. Either the whole tube or the actual picture surface. The exact same monitor is considered 27" or 29" depending on where it's sold/marketed.

There are several other SNK cabs that share the same sticker set. I only changed the MVS-U4 page since I wasn't sure which ones used which stickers. If anybody is more knowledgeable than me on the subject perhaps you can edit the wiki with the appropriate links?

There was no rule for how the size was to be measured in the world of CRT. Visible or not. This is now regulated in the world of LCD's and plasma screens.

Mine are supposed to look like the originals but the lenght on the sideart strips match exactly.

I've had stacks of rare parts from that seller in the past. I say they're original.

I guess so, I would have thought original stickers would have been die-cut or something considering the age and the material used though.

The price while not insanely expensive seems a bit high for a repro too I would think. It just seemed a bit coincidental that the headphone-sticker looks just like mine with the cutting contour and everything and the side stripes are the exact length. I had the measurements of everything but the sides which I measured on my own cab. I just added a few centimeters because it goes behind the edge anyway.

Oh! I see what you're saying now. It's particularly difficult to make out the cutting outlines here (the image quality gets slaughtered on mobile), but they're there. And now I can see them - has that art been diecut around the art, rather than on the cut lines? :lolno:

Does anyone have a link to MVS-U4-25 CPO art?

I'm looking into getting these printed and would love to do it all at once 8-)

MrC4 wrote:Hi all,

Here is my recently completed restoration on my monster MVS-U4-33

The cab itself was in mint condition when I picked it up and no paint was required at all.

I gave it a good clean, installed new Seimitsu LS-32 joysticks and color correct buttons, new light tube with starter, new CP with new carriage bolts, MVS sticker and side stripes. What is left is replacing the crooked stainless steel profile at the front bottom.

Have I missed any stickers or graphics that was original on this cabinet?

Came with 5 game carts in original boxes with marquees, instructions and all; KOF 96, ADK, Ghost Pilots, Andro Dunos and Super Sidekicks.

The cab plays well so far (touch wood), screen is excellent with no signs of wear.

I'm very pleased with the outcome!

Cheers, Joe
This cab is absolutely stunning. The holy grail for me is a completely mint MVS-U4 or MV25UP-0, and yours is definitely that.

I'm considering getting this one...

http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA ... e-mame-_JM"

is 550usd a good price for it? I mean it's a lot of money for me but I'm an SNK fetichist and have never, I repeat, NEVER seen this type of cab anywhere else in my country...

I would snap it up if you've got the funds, I paid more for mine because MVS-U4's NEVER come up for sale locally and I knew I'd never find another one I could go pick up with a truck and 20 minutes ever again. Once you get it home and cleaned up, you will not regret it, it's one of the best home-use cabinets ever IMO because of the headphone jacks and small form factor. Enjoy and post up if you buy it! 8-)
