Sure, why not? If the price is around the same I'd get the Vewlix (I mean, after someone broke my kneecaps and forced me to get an LCD cab :awe: )

Yeah, the dollar sucks **** now. And it's not just against the JPY, it's **** against every major currency.

Well if the next gen consoles wouldn't have a vga cable wouldn't we not be able to use it with the vewlix L?

You'd go through the trouble of buying a Vewlix and then put a console in it? If you want to play a console buy a TV.
That probably sounds meaner than I intend it to be but I really don't understand the logic.

Was quoted: New Delta used: 200,000 JPY
New Delta new: 258,000 JPY
Delta 32 used: 128,000 JPY

The cheaper Vewlix L seems like it is a good deal imo. Still waiting to find out about shipping prices.
Who quoted you those prices?

Those are River Service's prices.

Correct. Seems coin-op is selling the new delta now, but haven't answered my email about price yet.

Umm I have a tv. Have the money for a cab, and want one so I don't really see the problem with it.

I am looking into into getting a new Vewlix. I seem to have found the same exact cabinets for drastically different prices maybe you guys can tell me what I am missing.

http://www.coinopexpress.com/products/m ... _7872.html
$1300 is quite a difference in price so that is why I ask. If not one of those two I was thinking about

based on the couple of threads I have read about it.

But surely it's Taito branded, no? Which is really the only reason for its (at least sentimental) value, at least compared to the clones (i.e. why someone would want it over a clone).

Or you can just buy this and be King of the LCD Cabs :awe:

Damn that's expensive.

Interestingly, you don't see mention of "Taito" in the description other than reference to the Type X2.

Compare to the product description of the original L series: here

I wouldn't be surprised if these China "Vewlix Ls" are identical to the no-name clones with a couple of added branded plates.

No reason for a facepalm - if you say it isn't a Taito one, others might want to know what makes you say that.

Maybe this explains my objection:
