Blast City Bulb Help and Replacement
Hello,
I have just taken ownership of Blast City Vs. cab.
I have a couple of questions:
1) I need replacement bulb for the marquee (FL8D), does anyone know where I can get these in the UK? I have seen some in the US, but I would prefer a UK supplier if anyone knows of one?
2) Does anyone know how to get the 'Winner' Bulbs on the Vs. cab to stay on? They flash when the cab is fired up, but then turn off. I would like them to stay on if possible.
All help greatly appreciated.
Cheers

2) the light is controlled by a relay, so it's just a matter of taking out whatever control PCB is between it and the current.

Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't know where to start on the relay. If I take a picture of the PCB, can you point me in the right direction?nem wrote:2) the light is controlled by a relay, so it's just a matter of taking out whatever control PCB is between it and the current.
Has anyone else on here bypassed the PCB to keep these bulbs on?
Cheers

Has anyone managed to get the Blast bulbs / tubes in the UK?
Or am I going to have to order from the US?

Tubes are normal tubes, you just need to measure them. I bought one yesterday for a Swing, nothing special about it.

Thanks for the reply. So tubes purchased in the UK (of the same wattage and size) will work fine?zumbito wrote:Tubes are normal tubes, you just need to measure them. I bought one yesterday for a Swing, nothing special about it.

Yes, that's what has always been said in the forum. I never bought a Blast tube, but bought a Swing tube this week, and had no problem.

Re: Blast City Bulb Help and Replacement
Thanks. Pictures of the PCB and wiring below. The bulbs appear to be connected to the pink and purple wires, but they don't appear to be directly connected to the PCB, as they seem to pass to the LED Numerical Display that the VS. Blast City cabs have. Any idea how to wire this to get the bulbs to stay on?nem wrote:Sure!JAG555 wrote:If I take a picture of the PCB, can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Blast City Bulb Help and Replacement
The bulbs are powered by AC voltage. You just need to disconnect the connector from the control PCB and connect it straight to an AC output. However, you will most likely need to hack up an extension.
The small board on the left in your last pic looks like it distributes AC voltage. Find out where everything goes and figure out what's unnecessary.
