Don't quote me on this, cause doesn't make much sense to me, but I think you have to chose either one or the other. It shouldn't be too difficult to make your own harnes. I think JST RA are the connectors needed for the IO http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/JST_RA.

FrancoB used to make looms. If you're lucky you might find one second hand.

The other option is getting one of the JAMMA-JVS adapters (like the ones below). They come in a few different flavors; Konami, Namco and River Service (plus the odd no-name). The Konami and Namco performs the best (from what I've heard) but they'll also set you back $150-200 at least.

EDIT: FrancoB's loom...

Connectors on the NNC are AMP-UP connectors. If you get stuck finding them, let me know, I have a load of 10 and 12 way connectors and pins.
<edit>
You'll also need to check that the monitor supports standard Resolution (15kHz), or you'll need a CGA>VGA converter as well.

I am also getting a NNC and I will use it mostly for Jamma boards. Where can you found those adapters? Any particular issue with those?

Beware, tho, River Service has said they are moving to a wholesale model, and have a minimum order of $300 USD (whatever that converts to in your local currency). :problem: :wtf:

Didn't know RS has a harness as well. Only thought they had the adapter.

I think the RS adapter is notorious for lag (though don't quote me on that). The others (Namco/Konami) should be ok. The Namco and Konami adapters you'll have to look here on the forums or chase them on ebay or yahoo japan.

http://www.rs2006.co.jp/e/jamma_harness/index.html you need an additional hi to low converter or else youll blow the sound amp, apart from that its just plug n play provided you have a tosh PF trisync.

Where does it says that you need a converter? Aren't that RCA plugs supposed to be connected directly to the Naomi's AMP?

There's nothing in the harness that attenuates the audio.

Really? :-o What about FrancoB's loom?

But then why use the RCA plugs?
Wouldn't be better to bypass the Naomi's audio amp, use the JAMMA on board amp and connect the harness to the speaker cables (2x 2pin AMP UP connectors)?

The seller of the loom emailed me with this:

"Our harness has simple line for Audio. It just connect between Jamma and RF plug. I don't know exactly about "hi to low Audio converter", but anyway our harness works simply connect audio line between Jamma PCB and New net city cabinet."

But i read in forums to use a converter

Do you have the harness? Can you check if there are resistors inside the RCA plugs?

From the pic it looks like it just connects to the speaker leads, there are no RCA connectors.

Well, that's it then :problem:

You can build an attenuator circuit with a few resistors, like this one:

Google for supergun schematics for more examples.

Poor show from RS.

The AMP UP female connectors for the controls aren't even panel mountable.
