I've reported it. I mean kids could see that. Who in their right mind would name a pic like that after a kiddies game console?!

On a less than serious note, you're all going down
No, I just take pride in my ability to play puzzle games. I'm fairly good at them, and other than Gradius its pretty much all I have to hold on to.

Double freakin' Post!
I did 115 today on an emulator on my Thinkpad, its not a proper controller for this kind of game. I know I can do better than that

Re: GB Tetris
hahaha. Nah, Thinkpad keyboards are good for one thing, and one thing only, and thats typing code. So as soon as I get around to locating my copy of GB Tetris (or Tetris Plus, the level goes up faster and it doesn't have the infinite spin bug IIRC) I'll do it properly.John James Pacinelli wrote:You damn right you can do better that that! Re: GB Tetris
Man, I HATE programming on my work Thinkpad! I use a very very old keyboard going into a ps2 -> usb converter thing instead. The travel on each key is about an inch and it goes *CLUNK!* with every keystroke. I still use a thermal line printer too with those boxes of paper with the holes down each side. After all, I do program in psuedo Pascal on a VAX... Old skool! I wouldn't have it any other way...

We're expecting great things diekatze. Don't let us down.
speaking of tetris. I played one of the versions where the shape takes a second to lock into place the other day. It ruins it for me. It's just not tetris. The falling blocks game is just a short prelude to the main event: The retardly trying to bodge rolling shapes into gaps game.

Is that guy for real? The nature of the drawings is bad enough but calling one of them hunky dreams and suckathon is just a bit too far

Re: GB Tetris
Seemingly so. Who would want those on the wall? I wouldn't have drawings of two women going at it on my wall, or a dude rodgering some chick either. It's just odd.Munchies wrote: Is that guy for real? The nature of the drawings is bad enough but calling one of them hunky dreams and suckathon is just a bit too far

Re: GB Tetris
Well nakedness has always been a classic painting subject ...But subtlety goes a long way.
Eitherway, the drawing skill is, frankly, crap. It looks like it was drawn by a 12 year old, which is probably the appeal to any buyers. This ranks on par with the ebay "my un*USED* sweaty knickers" items.
...I had a good idea to cash in on lonely ebay users once. Naked body painting by teenage art students! I reckon a bit of rolling around on a canvas, coupled with a nice sweet "about the artist" profile in the description and you have an easy £59.99 per 5 minutes work.
Little would the buyer know it's actually been MY naked **** sliding around on his purchase!
...Better yet though, do it the legit way and find some students who want to participate. ...Could even produce some 'collaborative' pieces!

Re: GB Tetris
After over a year of trying and failing to get a somewhat respectable score, I've at least managed to get one which I don't need to be completely ashamed of even if it does put me firmly at the bottom! 106 . It was on a GBA though, maybe I'd have got slightly higher on a normal one.

I'll beat you yet! It only took me a year and a half to double my score, another two years and I'll be on top!

Re: GB Tetris
I finally own a Game Boy and a copy of Tetris for the first time in many years (thanks, thomj), so it's time to throw-in a few scores. First game after turning it on: 104 lines. After a few hours of failure: 134 lines.
Violator and subject to severe penalties and will be prosecutedt to the full extent of the jam

I have this crappy picture from 2006:
You can only make out the score of 101117. However, the file is named 140 lines
