Re: Competition Idea
How about broadening it a bit, maybe having somewhere between 3-5 games, and a table for each. Members choose the game they wanna compete in and enter only in that table?

Re: Competition Idea
Actually, if it's more than one game I'll donate a PCB as a prize.

If not for donations, is the thinking everyone pays a buy-in which funds the prize pot?

Re: Competition Idea
Or have the following competition:
1. Shmup - Choose 1 game to play from 3 choices (Flying Shark, 19XX, etc)
2. Platform action - Choose 1 game to play from 3 choices (Snow Bros, Black Tiger, etc)
3. Puzzle - Choose 1 game to play from 3 choices (Puzzle Bubble, etc)
Winner has the high score in at least one game in all three categories. If we have popular games represented in each category, the odds of someone owning one of them in each category should be bigger, no?

We could also swap PCBs in a rotation? Providing the games are cheap the risk is lowRossyra wrote:How about broadening it a bit, maybe having somewhere between 3-5 games, and a table for each. Members choose the game they wanna compete in and enter only in that table?

At least multi-carts or conversions. They're running on the original hardware after all.

Only way this is doable without mame. I wouldn't have fancied hunting and overpaying for a game I don't particularly want, just to lose a competition.
