Wow. The advanced socre is fantastic.

I've updated the table. I need to get better at this game. I can't even finish it now :? I'm pretty sure that I did a 4.6m without any of the extra bosses so 5.5m should be possible for me

markedkiller78 - The key to scoring high in Advanced and Special Courses is to play with a team, one character from each of the types. Just copy my selection. The hard bit is staying alive  .
If you want to get a large score on Special Course, you can choose a team with the C button and stay on all 3 lives as long as possible. This gives you the best chance to trigger all 18 available stages. I managed a Stage 16 / 5.9mil on a practice run at IC09.

First of many I hope :awe:

APB was my first shmup 1cc, I'm sure you could beat my 4m this week if you keep playing. I'm sure that I got a 4.6m, but cant find the pic.

Heh, I can see a 4.6 being reachable with stage edit and a bit of practice :)

****, 3.92m on a poor run (lost the chain late on Sky High) with 3 bombs left on Sobut, and with full stock (1.5m and 3m and hidden extends) going in to Blunt!

Pushed to 4.25 earlier, and I know I missed at least 70k through being cautious.

The two big ships at the end of Sky High - before the missile barrage - are causing me serious issues. Dodging is incredibly difficult, bombing them means I inevitably lose my medal chain. Getting past without dying or screwing up is proving a real problem. I'm normally at ~1-1.2m by then, so it's no huge issue dying with the Extend so close, but I royally hate it if they release a medal just before I miss.

Grr.

Stay right and concentrate on that one. When it’s about 50-75% dead let off your bomb. You should have enough time to blow it up / drop medal before the one on the left pops.

Sometimes the right one will drop 2 medals & most of the time the left only drops one.

For the boss on Sky High do you know that you can shoot the shoulders on the outside of the body? Your option can destroy them & an arm pops out. The arms will release popcorn enemies that will drop medals also (small boost I know, but better than nowt)

I can’t beat the ninjas at the start of L5 without dropping 2 lives, they are absolute ball busters.

Yeah. I'm playing without trying to do any milking at the moment :) Also without using Garegga/Mahou characters (although Black Heart is a cinch, the Colosseum is a total waste of time entering.

I just want to break a straightforward 4.3m with or without the ALL. It shouldn't be much trouble, it's just proving elusive... Will give that tip a try tomorrow though - it's the only part of normal "Normal" that truly drives me nuts.
