1-3. In the middle there are the medium sized green ships (Before the Huge red one) that have lots of small green ships around them that fire pink triangles. Shoot the big ones till they are about to blown then stop firing. Once the screen is filled with pink arrows blow the big ship up and the pink triangle bullets are cancelled and the small ships are easy prey. Cancelling those bullets greatly increases your score (3-6 million) depending on how long you leave it.

I've never been able to break 12mill with A-L , by the time you get to 1-5 you just haven't got enough score, on C-S you just hold autofire and by 1-5 you always seem to have 15-18mill or whatever. :awe: I find C-S a little weak for bosses though.

Time for me to fire this one up. Hand-drawn sprites ftw.

19.866.230 - lgb - 1-5 - A-S - 250 Hit

This was with the International roms in Mame. I hope that's not frowned upon...

How exactly hard is this version, and is it comparable to a loop for any other version?

Also, Bort" is listed in the board twice:

67,393,380 - Smraedis - C-S - 2-3 - 338 Hit
58,881,090 - charlie chong - C-S 2-2 389 hit
34,255,280 - jpj - C-S - 1-6 - 187 Hit
30,422,520 - Bort(RHS) - 1-6 - C-S - 148 Hit
22,750,640 - Bort(RHS) - C-S - 1-5 - 155 Hit

19.866.230 - lgb - 1-5 - A-S - 250 Hit
18,851,380– markedkiller78(MAL) - A-L - 1-5 - 180 Hit
18,238,330 - kern(KRN) - C-S - 1-5 - 187 Hit

And if you're doing initials, mine are TLP.

Maybe I'll try to finish this before the summer...

lgb's my username, TLP's my initials, right? You were putting both on the list, so I just thought you had to put both in the score post or something. Like you know, it says on the list the person's username, then their initials in brackets beside it. I thought I was supposed to do that.

I'm just so cool I have to be there twice. :awe:

DP HK is playable in mame. The bullets are just **** crazy fast in certain places.
If you actually have some ability with shmups they aren't too bad but 1-4 onwards for a **** like myself is impossible.

Just use C-S and hold down autofire, move around a bit - et voila! 15million or so
