How do I get my Spinners to work on Puzz Loop?

Post by slapaham »

I cannot get my spinners to work at all. :(

I'm trying to get them up and running on Puzz Loop on the Kaneko Super Nova...

I have set up 'knobs' as an input on the test menu (switching it to dip switch one), saved the settings and nothing.

Is there a dip switch I must have on to get them working?

Also, I have control looms plugged in for the buttons - this shouldn't affect anything should it?

I'm just not sure what else to try!?

Anyone able to help me at all please?

From a Swedish forum thread:

On the CN6 connector you connect your spinner thusly:
1. +5VDC
2. 1p
3. 2p
4. -
5. -
6. 1p
7. 2p
8. GND

As I understand it, you just use +5VDC and GND to your spinner, right?

Or you can modify your JAMMA on the mobo like this:

Thanks for the info...

Bit confusing though... there is a connection and loom (which I have) connected to the mobo - so technically there shouldn't be a need to do any wiring yourself...

Sorrry, the last picture is if you want to be able to use sticks or spinner without using any other means of connection than your JAMMA harness. I guess. Not my guide. Just use the pinout I posted and you will be fine (I guess). What type of spinner do you have? Seimitsu? I've heard they can be a real bitch to calibrate sometimes.
