Lindbergh booting / loading slow

Post by meyerli »

Maybe I'm just getting impatient with increasing age, but I'm pretty sure my Lindbergh Yellow was booting faster before.
It currently has Virtua Tennis 3 installed (the only game I have for this board).

When power the Lindbergh on it hangs at least 10 minutes on this screen:

But the game starts without any errors. Loading a game as well as a court change again takes several minutes.
Couldn't find an issue using the test menu.

Is it just me or does it really take that long? It's a bit annoying while playing. Could it maybe be a CPU issue after overheating?

I've already seen loads long but without error:
The hard drive was tired.
Tries to reinstall the game on another hard drive ...

Thanks a lot for your help, that solved the issue. Took a while to get a good IDE disk, replaced it and reinstalled VT3. Booting and loading is now super fast :awe:
