Do you want to replace the kabuki with a Z80 and some modified EPROMs?
Edit,
Actually the CPS1 board doesn't use the Kabuki. If it's this procedure you'll just need an EPROM programmer and a scapel.

If no one else offers I'll do it for you but it will probably be towards the end of April.

I wasn't aware of that. It's a much better solution.

I have the programmer and I also have a dead 3 Wonders. I probably should get around to trying it one day
For the record, the programmer cost like 10 euros in parts.

Thanks for the offer Lee.
Nem, thanks. €10? I didn't expect it'd be that cheap to build. Cheaper than the postage of a board to Finland and back anyway.

The battery used at the C-Board on CPS1/CPS1 dash is much better, very unlikely to leak, contrary to the big battery on CPS dash sound board (kabuki) or CPS2 which leak fairly often.
I wouldn't mind using a battery backed CPS-B-21 but I would get rid of the kabuki battery...

If you have an eprom programmer and still waiting for Arcadehacker's kit, I can provide decrypted (dessuicided) program roms for the version you have.
I have decrypted all the versions some time ago with the right priority and layers masks values, as Three Wonders sets posted @The Dead Battery Society web page are buggy, except the US one.

I'd definitely be interested in that if I can't get the programmer to work!

Ok, check your revision. When the game starts, you will see your revision displayed after RAM/ROM checks.nem wrote:World version, no idea which set. I'll have to double check.
910520 is set 1, you can see the letter A applied on each program rom' eprom label.
I have uploaded both World (910520 and 910513) here : http://mega.nz/#!AkFE0Aba!GUlLPSWJaDhc6 ... sM-v-ERrm0
