CPS2 missing sound after a few hours running

Post by beachut »

Hi Guys,

I encounter a bug with a CPS2 A+B board that lose audio after a few hours running. First time I discovered that was with a Mars Matrix convert i bought but replacing eproms for Progear's doesn't fix the problem. Do you have any idea what the problem is ? Maybe a component switching itself to safety ? I have heard of a trick to reset volume settings but nfortunately I have none of the Vol- and Vol+ on the CPS1 board.

Any of you have an idea of what's going on there ?

Thanks for your help,

Best regards,

Have you checked if the side controls (volume minus button) are not accidentally shorting or being pressed in, thus bringing the volume down. Does the audio still work if you go into settings? Could it be heat related?
Do you still get sound out of the external rca audio plugs?
Never heard of anything like this. Weird
