Is it normal for my Tekken 4 to run rather laggy on the character select screen? Normal gameplay seems 99% right but its the character select screen and the VS screen that lag pretty bad.
Could it be my voltage or is this a common problem with this game?
Also, how long do I have to wait to unlock everyone? Is there an unlock code?
EDIT: Soulcalibur II runs 100% fine so I don't THINK it could be the DVD drive, but I'm still open to ideas.
EDIT2: I dunno if it matters by the revision is B2, and the dongle says revision A.

I'm also running the game at 31K, could that have any effect?

Might be your DVD drive. I've had the music stall out in the game due to it not liking my DVD drive. Soul Calibur is a less picky game then Tekken 4 and some other early games. =(
It being a version B2 shouldn't have anything to do with it. Yet on that front I recommend you get a version D dongle. The AI in B2 is just god awful. =P It's worth keeping the B2 around and you should be able to src a loose ver D for cheap off ebay from time to time.

Re: Tekken 4 runs sluggish
Quick question. What is the make and model of your DVD drive?
I really do think the issue is DVD drive more then anything else. Tekken 4 is one of the early games that are very picky when it comes to DVD drives, most of these "picky" drive games are even not sys256 compatible.

Maybe he is a member here but really nothing in his video shows he knows more then people already here on the boards.TheRedKnight wrote:Try asking this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izzFYfkGXug

Try making a copy of the DVD using a decent quality DVD-R and see how it behaves with that.
As a matter of course, I always use backup CD-Rs and DVDs in my 246, CPS3 systems etc. and keep the original as a master.
