naomi caution 51

hi guys, im having problems with 2 gd roms, psyvariar 2 and radilgy. when i load the games they go through the usual boot sequence, but then display the caution 51 game assignments incorrect, set correctly in system assignments of test mode. im reluctant to play with any settings as these are the only games that dont work. i know the bios is fine because cosmic smash plays without problems. can anybody help me with this faulte even a link to advice. i have tried looking on sega-naomi but cant find a thread to the 51 fault, i have looked through the manual but no joy. which buttons do i hit to change the assignments and what settings should it be set to. the control panel im using has six buttons, but i can swap it for one with three buttons if it would help. any advice would be great. thanks for your time.

Psyvariar 2 will only boot if the Naomi is set to 1 player mode iirc. Don't know about the other game.

Push the test switch in your cab or on the Naomi motherboard, you will find it in the options menu (I think under "game assignments" or whatever it is called).

ok changed that, im now getting fault 54 same again assignments incorrect. but hey i went into test made magic. anybody help with the 54 code . thanks again.

Think Psyvariar you have to change something to do with the coin slots aswell, can't fully remember now as my Gd-rom set-ups long gone Can't remember what a 54 is either, get over to seganaomi.com and search, bound to be on there

i cannot find 54, i have typed in error code 54. although there is 5 pages it doesnt seem to list 54. anyone know where a list of codes is posted. thanks again.

Have you looked in the Naomi manual? No idea if it's in there, just a thought.

ASSIGNMENTS OF TEST MODE.
[CAUSE] The setting of MONITOR TYPE differs from the correct setting of the game.
[COUNTERMEASURES] Enter the TEST mode, and change the MONITOR TYPE setting of
MONITOR TYPE in SYSTEM ASSIGNMENTS to the correct setting
suitable for the game. For the correct setting, refer to the Instruction Manual
attached to the game. If necessary, perform Horizontal/Vertical
transposition of the monitor, as applicable.

There you go. Have you set the monitor to vertical for Psyvariar?

hi guys sorry for the delay, code 54 is change from hori to verti. after this was done it all booted up. i have now taken the monitor out and rotated it. yeah right i moved the board to the vertical cab and all is well. next learn japanese so i can understand wtf is happening. thanks again guys 2 good fixes. code 51-1 player cab option. code 54 rotate screen. i shall now retire to the cab and play some more. thanks again guys. cheers.
