I´m probably burnt out, even nostalgia doesn´t help anymore.

Post by The Enigmatic Form »

I bought a NeoGeo in January 1993, so I could play real arcade games at home. I got many games when they came out, and spent the biggest part of my youth playing FF, AoF, KoF and the more obscure fighters.

But today, when I want to play them, I just can´t stand them anymore. I still love them, but I, for some reason, prefer to just watch a few matches on youtube to satisfy my urge for the old games.

I don´t know what happened. Over the years, I got more into Capcom fighters, because I started to play the games more in depth, but I´m not sure if that´s the reason why I don´t play my old favorites anymore. Probably I just spent too much time with them over the years.

Has anyone ever experienced something similar?

Ditto :awe:

I've experienced that with all the games but SF. Its the only game game I still play. The day I'll get bored with SF I'll just quit playing.

Unless they release an high rez 2d SF (drawn by the Japanese not f*****g Capcom america) with all the old characters and a super difficult AI. That could keep me going for the next 20 years :awe:

Good games, yes. Play them all the time? No.
