Re: NeoSD - I'm loving it
**** over your posts?
Only edit made was to put back the links you deleted and the topic title in the OP. The rest of the **** you managed yourself.
The conversation was well underway with multiple users, I don't see why the whole thread should be deleted just because you've taken the hump.

Re: NeoSD - I'm loving it
I find the lack of thick skin against arguments combined with the need to use foul language rather disturbing.
Emulation's nice when done well

Then discuss about the subject matter that you started and stop crying.

Re: NeoSD - I'm loving it
Do we need a disclaimer that the opinions posted do not reflect the illustrious entity that is Arcade Otaku?
Personally I think the topic deserves to be discussed and seeing as there's more than one post in the thread, I'm not alone.
From what I've read the only thing wrong with the cart is the price, but that can be said of more or less everything arcade related now.
I don't see what the problem is. There's a link in the first post and a picture of a bigmac am I missing something?

I'm assuming the big mac picture is a mod edit which I'd find childish too if it happened to me and I'd probably be swearing as well, although maybe a bit more coherent than spmbx

Re: NeoSD - I'm loving it
Nope, as far as I know the op did it himself when he deleted all of his posts.
I thought the grievance was mostly about putting the links back and locking the opening post to stop any more burgers or other spoilers being added/taken away.

Re: NeoSD - I'm loving it
I'm pretty interested in this (the cart, not the argument!)
I've been 'meaning' to set up a mame PC for years but have never got round to it. To me, this is a nice plug and play option, especially if you tend to want to play the same game repeatedly as it keeps the last game stored.
I'm sure I will eventually get around to setting up mame, and if I see no real difference then would probably sell the cart on, but it should be pointed out that I'm also not the sort of person to notice lag

Re: NeoSD - I'm loving it
Tell me what you want edited and I'll happily do it.
What I really wanted to do (after you flipped and deleted all your own posts) was transfer thread ownership to me, remove the burger and reinstate the links, but I couldn't be bothered hunting for the option on my phone. The result is much the same, I just wasn't comfortable removing the burger without knowing where it came from.
Don't say McDonalds

So for MVS its a do it once and copy the settings to the other games thing?mufunyo wrote:The only way to get input lag close to real hardware is to use GroovyMAME and meticulously tweak the frame_delay parameter for each game.cools wrote:I thought this had been thoroughly disproven, provided it was set up correctly?mufunyo wrote:MAME introduces input lag

Re: NeoSD - I'm loving it
This is a great solution for someone owning a neogeo cab and wants the full library in a single cart and as close to the original as possible.
Yes, it's a cart emulator - like an Everdrive so it's cool, it just streams data to the actual hardware which does not care if the data is from a real cart or some eeprom
The price is steep (like almost everything cool neogeo-wise) but keep in mind there are 200$ SNES flashcarts out there is 1/4 of the hardware on this one... jm2c

Re: NeoSD
I came here to look at the Big Mac again and now it's gone
I'm obviously not the target market, but other than the price, it does look good.
Too expensive imo, but I'm sure they will be selling for £700 in 12 months time.
