What I really want to see is a Kickstarter for a Yagawa JAMMA project. I'd happily chuck a grand at that.

You can install Android on Pi. There are options and I'd guess they've spent more than five minutes considering them.
Just trying to be helpful chap
Sorry, that wasn't in reply to you. Like you I'm looking at the positive.
Even if the ship is a tad gigantic.

Cheers. Yeah the arcade scene needs as much enthusiasm as it can get at the mo
But maybe a smaller ship would help here

That would definitely be a kickstarter I would invest in.

Well this isn't exactly new as the video was released a month ago but as there is currently only the interview video and animated gifs about, I thought it woud be good to share this to a wider audience.
Originally the video was only available on another forum but Chris has asked for this to be shared to other forums now, so please appreciate this is a month old and the game has moved on quite a bit since then. There will be some mor videos going up on the site very soon... http://www.skycurser.com
Looks pretty cool for an indenpendet indie release from such a small team of dev.

This looking mighty fine! Also like the prospect of new hardware w/ a JAMMA connector. It's going to be an interesting next year from an indie arcade standpoint, with this new hardware as well as NGDEV's new yet to be announced hardware.

There's also another new arcade game being developed by the Galloping Ghost arcade people. Don't know much about it yet, but I'll ask the owner when I meet him in December.

Hope they announce a release date soon for this game. If the price is right, I'll definitely pick one up.

It being just a PC in a clumsy box is rather unsexy for me
The Linux boot sequence
I like the concept of the game though. At 300-350 ish I would be in.

It looks great so far, depending on the price I’d definitely consider picking this up.

So what if it has a linux boot sequence?
No different in an arcade from any other game boot sequence. Once it's running, who cares?

For a purist like me it's a huge difference. Playing lowres 2D games on PC is appalling to people like me. There is not much you can do about it, it's mostly irrational
I would not get a 2D Steam game for 5 EUR but would pay for the same game 400 EUR if it's on NEOGEO/PGM/CPS2 etc.

Is it actually a PC, or an embedded custom platform?
(Haven't watched the videos, no specs quoted on site)
