Lovely discovery… it's really an arcade time capsule. Congratulations!
I hope you find some valuable PCB's around also… easy cash, more easy stuff to sell and ship than cabs if you can't hold all of them

If you find a Sega City or a Taito Canary PM, I am interested. ;)

If there is a Sega City in there I will trade you my first born.

I don't actually have any children, but let me know and I'll get started right away :D

Congrats! As I'm sure you've discovered, this is quite a treasure trove that most of us could only dream of. I guess the first thing to figure out is what works, and what doesn't. Are you experienced at all with arcade cabinets? If not you may want to find someone who is to walk you through the steps until you are comfortable testing machines on your own.

While testing the machines make a list of all the games and take a clear photo of them running (a screenshot of the monitor will do fine).
You'll probably want to take at least two good pics (3/4 view angle of each side/front) of all the cabs. Also note if they have any sever screen burn on the monitors (when an image from a game that has been used in the cab a long time and is visible even when the machine is off or even visible while machine is on).

INVENTORY your games and cabinets and you'll be able to start estimating what kinda value you are sitting on.

How quickly does Grandma want them out? :hinthint:

There are a few dealers here who would happily buy the lot and work with you to arrange shipping via container.

Japan prices for cabs like the Sega Astros are low ($150-$300 each), but you also have some rarities there that are worth much more (I wouldn't like to guess how much).

You'll get the best price if you can spare the time to research, ask lots of questions here, list and photograph everything in detail, and - if you can spare a LOT of time - get them up and running. If not someone will probably still buy them, but at half the price or less.

You're sitting on quite some value there so take your time if you have it. You may enjoy the process of sorting through them all, and we'd definitely enjoy reading updates. Any PCBs and smallish parts you come accross might be surprisingly valuable too (we buy all sorts of smelly old crap). And if you would individually sell and ship those smaller items yourself, you would be making a lot of us very happy while making more money for yourself. Again, you'll have to take some detailed photos and keeping asking for help and advice.

Make good use of our 'What's it Worth' thread:

There are also some non dealers who would like to sort a couple of containers for a group buy ;)
