We've all been new and said stupid things before. I've never grown out of that actually. :palm:

In fact I think I helped kill KillerCabs with stupid questions.

Those quotes are from the movie edit, but they pretty much sum up the thread.

This guy has been nothing but a time waster and a fraud.

We had agreed months ago that he would sell me Ace Driver: Victory Lap parts but after months passed, a few days ago, he finally agreed to meet up today.

Since the arcade is about 2 hours from me, I left my place to begin the long trek out there, only to receive a PM just now that says he shipped it out to someone else yesterday and sorry.
keisuke999 wrote:Hello Shou,

They took ace driver as well yesterday, so no need for you to come. Sorry.
WTF? He won't answer his mobile either. I will be going to the various media outlets and reddit to let them know what a dick he is. How can you agree to something a few days beforehand and then somehow sell the cab? Smells like a phony and I move to have him banned.

As the parts for Ace Driver were never explicitly advertised for sale here on the forum, the forum team can't really get too involved here. Whilst I would agree that leaving it until the last minute to tell you not to come is particularly ****, I don't think it would justify a a ban. I'll make sure the admins see this.

Shou, if you had to sell everything, would you keep one driving cab around because someone you had spoken with expressed interest and was coming the next day? Can you really blame the guy if a buyer comes before you, often these sales are first come first serve, no? Calling someone a fraud and phony and asking for a ban seems a little much.

A similar thing happened to me a while back. A local had an Egret2 and MVU4, literally 3 minutes down the street. I expressed a lot of interest in the Egret, but needed a week to raise the money. When I was ready, the seller told me that someone was on their way to look at it, they ended up buying both cabs. I was butthurt about missing out on that Egret for a long while, but I respected that someone (a great guy) had gotten in there before me and made the scoop (from a great gal). I still call them an Egret thief from time to time :-P

That's the point, he hadn't sold it in the lot according to him. This weekend, the shipping company came to take care of the sold lot. Now, unless he is totally incompetent and didn't realize he sold it, why would he agree to have me come out while they pack up the other cabs? Then, to cancel on my on the day of when I am already headed there and not have the decency to pick up the phone? Sounds like a dickhead to me.

Just give him negative feedback? That should do it.

And now that the whole lot is sold, why not have this thread locked...

Again, as it wasn't explicitly advertised for sale on this forum, a negative would be inappropriate.

Let it go.
