Arcades of Tokyo/Japan - picture sets

Postby dcharlie » May 7th, 2010, 1:15 am

Hey all, been trawling through a load of pictures as i move PC as well as taking a load of others, so i've started arranging them all into a collection over at flickr and thought it might be of interest to someone (or not as the case may be!)

Anyways, pictures of arcades mainly from around Tokyo, though i have a few shots pending from Osaka/Kyoto

Collection here! Click me.

Every fail leads to more fails usually until you have a giant failcloud failing down on you

Only looked at the Club Sega ones so far, I love that they have a Cave corner. The machines all look so minty, the Daytona 2 is in incredible condition, but then if they wouldn't be in Sega's gaff in Tokyo, where would they be? :awe:

Nice to see they still run really old stuff too.

Nice work, thanks for sharing

Club Sega in Akihabara literally has more than half of my collection running right now. Amusement Tower has a **** Minty Salamander cocktail, across the room they have a Life Force (J).

You guys have seen my Konami collection, just guess at what this is doing to my soul right now. -_-

Do any sites have a collection of pics of these arcades in their prime, like over 10 years ago? I remember seeing some incredible SNK arcades that are long gone. Pics like those need saving.

i put up some pictures from around 2003 that i salvaged from my drive - if you go to the collection link you should be able to see them.

Not many pictures , but some from Try and Shibuya Kaikan.

I know i have a ton more on my old laptop which will be from around the 2001-2002 time line, so i plan on digging those up and putting them up too. I know i have more Kaikan pics, Try, Club Sega around VF4 launch, and some more obscure places like the Disney arcade (which is pretty stylish)
and Midori in Meguro (circa 2002)
