DDP DOJ on PGM2 - er WTF?

Postby markedkiller78 » April 21st, 2010, 9:44 am

Did anyone else get the email from excellent?

It's the original DOJ on PGM2 hardware. What is going on here :?

Backwards comparability for PGM titles (ESP galuda, ketsui, doj BL)?

No price, I've emailed for one.

I just don't see why they would re-release this now.

It's got a pic of a blue motherboard. I know KOF98UM doesn't work on the red mobo, so is the blue possibly PGM2.1?

Would be interesting to know if the game is any different to the original. Btw the picture / screenshot in the email below the motherboard says Dondonpachi Daioujou Tamashii... :wtf:

Same here. Complete set $900

It now makes even less sense. You can pick the original pgm version for about £250

I don't think it's an error Kern, there's a pic of the cart. We all thought the same thing with KOF98UM and it was real.

It would make much more sense if it was DFK

Show said pic! :awe:

Maybe the other two games will come on PGM2 also then, is it a hackjob or official?

I didn't even think the PGM2 was backwards compatible to be honest.

Please let this be preparation for re-releasing Ketsui.

I saw this in my mail and went straight to cave-stg, should've known the cool people were talking about it here :awe:

I'm sure IGS and Cave are still good friends so this will be licensed. IGS are pretty big in Taiwan and if releasing KOF 98 UM on their own hardware can make money for them then so can this. Judging by KOV2++, PGM2 is obviously a PGM with extra RAM and a few tweaks so its not a lot of work. I'm itching to find out what the gameplay differences are and who programmed them.

It'd be sweet if they used the Black Label code...

I'm quite accepting if you all want to chip in and buy me one in memory of my PGM version that died

I'm hoping someone buys this and puts up some details. If I had $900 lying around the order would already be placed :problem:

If $900 was still worth about £450 I would buy it.

That's still £200 more (£300 with the lovely exchange rate) than you can get the original for.

I'm curious, but this just seems daft.
