Nesica on my Taito Type X2

Post by egoraptor »

Maybe I'm a real dummy and I'm totally new to this, but I just can't find the right information I'm looking for.

I've got a Taito Type X2 and a nice LCD cab. I just want to put NesicaxLive Frontend with a buncha games on it so I can turn the machine on, and play some Nesica/TTX2 games.

I see this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFXUiSho9qE

And he says that this fan-made frontend can be loaded on a Taito Type X2, but no instructions on how to do that. Or how to load the games and make them work. All the videos about rocketlauncher I've found haven't given me sufficient information to get stuff working.

I'm even game to just getting the real NesicaxLive on my cab and paying for the games. I can't even find information on how to do that.

Can anyone spare the time out of their day and just help a dumb idiot like me who only ever worked on CRT cabs and PCBs with all this new fangled drive flashing and emulating and frontend loading? I swear I'm a clever boy but this stuff is just a whole new world for me, and all these disjointed information resources are making my head spin.

Unfortunately, that's not possible. It's for Japanese arcades only (and Round 1 in the states, I guess).

Running Nesica at home is basically piracy, that's why there's very little info of it anywhere.

There is plenty of information out there on how to get attractmode to work...even easier if you speak french...

Maybe sell the type x2 ( cos it sounds like you are going to break it ) & run a pc doing the same thing...

Thanks for the insight guys. I think this just isn't for me. I can't understand any of this Attract Mode literature, I can't even get Attract Mode with TTX2 interface running on my PC let alone on my Taito Type X2.
