having trouble wiring up a sanwa jlf

for the last few weeks ive been having trouble wiring up a f****** joystick some1 please help me out!
im just about to throw the joystick in the bin cos it dun work lol. Seriously about to cry!

(all i wanted to do is play super street fighter 2 turbo cps2)

anyway i dont have the 5pin cable so ive been tryna attach to teh 5 solder points...
ive been using this diagram, also the neo geo pinout for my stick

now it luks pretty straight forward so i when i attach up to corresponding on the solder point stick, switch it on it starts moving right automatically
and sometimes i only get right and down, for the life of me i cant figure out what it is ive tryed everythin.

Also sometimes when i try and attach my ground wire it resets the game?

some1 please help.... ive just been seeing ryu move normally in attract mode and wishing i could get a peice of the pie...

JLF PCB as seen from the solder side.

From left to right:

Left, Right, Up, Down, Ground.

ok ive tried this from left to right and hes just walking forward continuously.... dont know what teh **** going on

Then something else is screwed up, because it's definitely not the pinout on the stick.

do you think teh pinout on my connector differs to teh normal neo geo pinout or what?
i dunno apart from that...

Only way to tell is to look at it and meter it out

also i think teh pinout should be norm because i have a neo geo stick that i use with the supergun also...
