Sigma 8000TB flaw

Finally got around to taking a look at my AV5000 tonight. It was sold as having some control issues: intermittent missing directions and buttons. This was an accurate description.

The cause? The cables that connect the 8000TB sticks to the supergun have to be pushed in really firmly on the stick port, and the ports themselves inside the sticks have no form of strain relief - they're only held in with the solder joints.

Both of my sticks had broken/dry joints on the cable port. One was on the entire lower row, the other just had a couple. Reflowed all the pins with fresh solder and the sticks are fixed.

The cables still need far too much force to insert into the sticks, I might try filing the plug down a touch to allow it to make a better connection and sit fully flush.
