SG similar to vogatek mkIV?
I'm not happy with the video output of my vogatek (it's the sg, already tried to change cable, board, tv and so on and no way to improve it! Even tried a different vogatek thanks to idchappy who sent me another mkIV) but I can't either find another supergun with the same features: neo geo controller ports, scart rgb output, aux audio out (or audio to scart, or both...), mono/stereo switch and coin button (anyway a test button too would be nice). And not crazy expensive.
I've seen mak ones, they look nice but I can't find them anywhere.
Any tips...

You're using RGB out and you're not happy with the picture?

Yeah, the picture is not crystal clear, but that's not my biggest issue. The problem is that there are horizontal lines (well maybe they can be considered shades) that scroll down on the screen all the time. Nothing seem to fix it.

Can you get a picture of the display, or some video?
Tried a different PSU?

It's barely noticeable through a video but I can try.
I tried everything but changing psu simply because I haven't another psu... But it's a brand new psu so it shouldn't have problems.

Clarity of image shouldn't be affected by the PSU, but the lines you describe could be interference from it.

Problem fixed with a different psu. Thanks anyway to idchappy who send me another vogatek, have you received the old one?
I used a very old psu from my old pc and it works smoothly, could the problem be that my previous psu is too powerful? (600w, 34a on plus12v)

It's possible that you weren't putting enough of a load on it for it to be able to regulate the power properly. Try measuring the AC on the +5V line of both power supplies (under load obviously).

However I think the conversion from jamma rgb to scart rgb could be better, the image is still not as perfect as it should be. I noticed the rgb is better on my sfamicom.. Oh, well.cools wrote:marchrius wrote:Problem fixed with a different psu.
