Supergun noob!
Right,
Situation is as follows....
I have 3 arcade PCBS I dont want to sell.
I have an old 21 inch Panasonic CRT.
I have no way to play these games on the CRT.
What CHEAP supergun can I get that will allo me to play the following games?
Twin Cobra, Tiger Heli and Flying Shark?
I was hoping to make my own arcade stick as I have enough spare parts to do so (sanwa etc) so whats my options?
Im looking for a nice crisp picture via RGB scart.
Cheers
Adam

Re: Supergun noob!
Hi Adam,
When I consolized a Neo Geo MVS with seperate power supply last year it was an easy move to modify a standard Jamma loom to create a very simple Supergun to run alongside. The Neo Geo joystick acts as the controller, the power supply to the MVS is also used as is the scart lead (I also have a 21" Panny CRT). So, on the pic the 3 plugs are (L-R), AV to TV Scart, Neo Geo standard controller and 3 pin power supply:

Re: Supergun noob!
Thanks for the reply mpoilu
Still not sure how or what you have done?
So, is making my own super gun an easy excercise then?
What about not using a arcade stick from an existing console etc and just using my own that I make from arcade parts?

Ahhh right! If you can solder and follow basic wiring diagrams it is easy enough. Just Google or search on this forum and NTSC as you're a member there for supergun and there are tons of topics/how-to's out there but here are a few I have links to:

Yes, to both but much cheaper (and in many cases better quality) to DIY.tetsujin wrote:Right I think I am more confussed than when I started!

Would you not be better off with one of these
There are various models, some with Joypad ports and others with wiring terminals to suit yourself.

Re: Supergun noob!
I have one of those which I got with a one slot mobo and some carts.
I haven't tried it to see if it works but I assume it does. You can have it for free if you like.

Re: Supergun noob!
I know you said you would like it by PM but I thought I would post this here if it helps for reference.
I have dug it out and it appears to be a Vogatek MK3.
IIRC the DB-15s are wired for Neo Geo sticks.
