Warning Kanaya Japan

Postby manimani » March 8th, 2017, 10:09 pm

I just made this topic here to inform buyer than Kanaya shop now sold Cps1 convertion board at same price as original.

I contact my agent for a friend who want to buy a Daimakaimura from Kanaya. My agent call them to confirm it was well a genuine board with original label, they confirm, so my agent buy it. Here is the board i receiv :

It's simply impossible they think it was a genuine board, so now beware of this shop if you want to buy from them from outside Japan.

Romset label are copy (printed with domestic printer), original have bright purple label. Also original have an engraved Pal chip with DM33B mention, converted one have a Gal chip with DM33B sticker on it.

With a little Yahoo search, here is where they buy copy romset :

Isn't it an official 2nd run ? ..Anyway, even if it was, it shouldn't cost more than 30,000~35,000 JPY
How much did this cost ?
Always ask for a picture of the item before buying, above all in this price range ;)

Hi friend :)

I'm sorry for you to see that :-o
Converted game, it's clear :

- Label poor quality
- Gal on 1A (capcom use only PAL)
- Sticker on C board never existed on resale.
- Original Ep-rom on resale have speed -150 ....Here's is -120 .....Capcom use 120 only when start Cps2 Game, but not 100% sure .

Ask a full refund if possible, or partial refund.
Terrible if now Kanaya Japan sell converted game for original

It's an obvious conversion for all the reasons stated above, plus Capcom staff were never as careful with sticker application on cps-1 as the bootlegger has been here.

Are those labels even foil? They don't look it.

Yes it's same foil, i have several original capcom cps1 original game, Strider resale, Daimakaimura resale, area 88 resale, so i can easily compare and label is definitivly a copy.

Kanaya is not very knowledgeable about this stuff. They were likely tricked like most people but their warranty period is short so I am doubting they will do anything.

There is a reason why they don't deal with foreigners normally, it is a hassle and they don't speak English. Hope you can get some kind of compensation but realistically, Kanaya doesn't give great support.

I think this too, but Kanaya don't send pics of the pcb they sell. So now it's hard to know if we receiv original pcb or not, cause on YAJ half of the capcom pcb was convert now.
