So, I got bored one evening and decided to put together this document to see which Proxy Service is the best I've highlighted the best service at each price point.
Looking for feedback from everyone, so if you see any mistakes, have any feedback about any service, or know of any services I don't have please let me know

I'm completely confused at the Celga fees as they are nothing like what I pay?????????????????????

From their FAQ:

Here is a chart of our fees for items up to 50,000 yen:

Up to 1,000 yen $5 (minimum fee per transaction/auction/shop item)
1,001 to 10,000 yen $10
10,001 to 20,000 yen $20
20,001 to 30,000 yen $30
30,001 to 40,000 yen $40
40,001 to 50,000 yen $50

Their exchange rate is ¥75 to the US dollar so $5usd = ¥375 not ¥525

Similarly, $10usd = ¥750 not ¥900

You look to have overestimated their fees by 40%

Am I missing something?

Celga: 1,001 to 10,000 yen = $10
$10 * CelgaExchangeRate (74 yen, just updated) = ¥740

But then:

The final cost for any item will be the purchase price or auction final value price plus the bank wire transfer fee, internal shipping from the seller to Celga's Japanese facilities, international shipping from Celga to you, and the fees for Celga's services. Please see below for the details of each of these charges.

They charge $2 for the bank wiring fee (in my experience), so $2* CelgaExchangeRate = ¥148, overall total ¥888, which is what I have Some services charge it, some don't, the ones that do have it added in.

I should mention the page is based around making a single transaction, or multiple transactions from a single seller (so just 1 bank transfer fee). Could possible develop the thing into a calculator, but really I just made it out of interest and don't know if I can be bothered (if you can, let me know).

Updated today, exchange rate has been changing quite a bit lately so i'll keep an eye on it.

Not sure if this is the place for discussion on the topic, but I've recently been introduced to Rakuten global, and they champion tenso.com for package consolidation from a number of Japanese sites. I see they've got a Y! service too here - http://buyee.jp/" - not sure about fees / service but might be one to investigate?

Thanks for that! I added them just now. They're OK priced for cheaper items, but expensive for expensive, and will only get more expensive after they move their service fee to 15% (currently 10% as an opening special). If anyone knows anymore, let me know

Updated again. Some sites changed their equations so I updated those, updated the exchange rates, added some new sites, reformatted the front page and added a list of who is the cheapest at each price. The last 4 shops are ignored in this "who is the cheapest" selection as they add a percentage on top of the final price, which can't be calculated (as postage is an unknown). Assume they're more costly because they most likely are

Figured I'd chime in. I have a private proxy through my site which is kind of a word-of-mouth only thing. It's hidden unless you have a cookie enabled on your machine.

Anyway, a few people here have been using it. Not without it's bumps, but has some cool features too.

Yes, used SMJ a number of times and always received good communication since they have staff in multiple time zones. They will hold items in Japan for a long time so you can combine multiple purchases to be repackaged and send it one shipment. I think the fees are reasonable for the service received.
