I recently found out there are collectors in the UAE buying up Cave kits for stupid money. So it would not surprise me if they are bidding on these items via proxy.

Pretty bad time to start a CAVE collection. I've still had no bites on my £6000+ offer on a Katana home kit....

i would not be surprised if a bunch of them use Proxys to bid on their own auctions.

The guys that paid £1500 for it new aren't the kind to be tempted by a £6k offer. It can only go higher.

Simply offering £6k has instantly made it a minimum of £10k, as Jan has pointed out.

not sure if it is only the Money, i think Zak`s offer is pretty good, at this value there are a few other things to consider.

a.) payment, how you gonna pay 6000GBP ? I would not accept a PayPal paymant this high.

b.) how you gonna ship it ? it is not replaceable, so no carrier will accept it, especially not internationally

c.) international shipping with 6000GBP+ value ? good luck, you will Need a Export Permit for that ( atleast it is if you ship something like this from the EU to outside the EU)

d.) with so many "will pay fortune ;) 8-) :) :D -Bullshiters" out there , i would think it is kinda important to Point out that you are infact ready to put this amount on the table right away.

I'm not.

If you as a Cave collector had bought one on release and saw the offer you've put on the table - would you sell or simply bank on futures?

It's never going to be the same or cheaper than the original sales price unless there's a serious economy issue - you'd always be assured of getting your investment back at minimum should you ever really need to sell it.

The history of egret 2 :)
Some years ago the Japanese government decided that machines that did not have the PSE standard
Could no longer be used in public places :eh:

I learned that taito had decided to remove all the machines that do not respect this standard of its game center
A can loan 200 machines

The operator with whom I worked had to negotiate with taito and the machine was purchased by another operator at the other end of the country
Great pics Hikaru, thanks for sharing. Can never get too many Egrets. :awe:

Also, some great auction back there with a E3 and DFK 1.0.

I'd love that but how to ever ship it?

Needs a lot of work too, I don't imagine getting a new LOPT will be easy for that one, there's actual black mold spores spreading in the bottom so it needs treating and sanding inside.

I'd still buy it if there was a way to ship.
