Some random cab parts:
Astro city Power supply: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Naomi-Blas ... 4cfe98456a"
Control harnesses: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-original-N ... 35b9b2dbe6"
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SEGA-New-Astro- ... 4cfd073ede"
A much cheaper option for those in the USA instead of ordering it overseas.
And one more thing that I have no idea what it does. Anyone know what it's for?

Re: SP: Items on eBay (eBay!)
Are these generally worthless compared to a Blast City or other more "official" Cab? I noticed that he replaced the controls and monitor; wondering if It'd be more worth buying this than paying to ship a Blast City from California.

Re: SP: Items on eBay (eBay!)
Don't buy the Xiongba you'll only wish you had bought a Japanese cab later.
In answer to your question though, not worthless, but worth substantially less.

Re: SP: Items on eBay (eBay!)
hey. I'm selling that xiongba. the game inside is worth $250-$300(SSF2X).and since its on ebay i have an extra $100 on there to cover fees. i will sell the cab alone for $600. the cab is not nearly as bad as everyone thinks. once a proper sega CP is on there it plays just like any other candy cab. and the monitor is not replaced....its the stock one.

I'm sure they're cheap **** just like everything else that comes out of China, but it actually looks really good in the picture.yosai wrote:Don't buy the Xiongba you'll only wish you had bought a Japanese cab later.

To be fair, in America it does seem to be worth more than it is here. Didn't it pass hands for about $200 or so a few times last year?kernow wrote:nahhhmikeidge wrote:the game inside is worth $250-$300(SSF2X)

Re: SP: Items on eBay (eBay!)
i will say that the cab itself is not nearly as sturdy as a sega whatever city cab. but it is in tact and the monitor is as new as it gets for a 27". so in that regard it should last for a very long time. as a SSF2X/turbo fanatic myself, i have been watching ebay for the past few years and own quite a few of these boards. currently....i haven't seen one sell for under $250.
theres a bit of a story to how i ended up with this cab. i was supposed to bring 4 of my candy cabs to a philadelphia tournament as 2 head to head setups. the day before, i had the chassis out of one of my capcom impress cabs cause it was making a really high pitched squeal. my guy couldn't fix it cause the part was not easy to get and on the way home....i locked my brakes up and the tube slid over the impress chassis breaking the flyback clean off. it was my first time involved in the tournament and i hyped up having 2 head to head setups there and refused to not have both setups. i found the xiongba nearby in NYC and went and bought it for $600. i took the tube out and got it into the impress and got through the tournament. afterwards....my guy (JBmonitorrepair.com) was able to fix the broken chassis. I'm still amazed that he was able to do it...but he's a pro and says he's done it many times. he also fixed the squeal by putting some glue on the width coil.
the xiongba cab was not in good shape. wires were not connected, some of the screws were not really holding it together, and the control panel???? a total piece of ****. the cab was wrapped in plastic and the monitor still had the protective wrap on it as if it were new. it was sold to me as a new cab. after the tournament, i spent a day fixing it up and making some minor mods to get the sega CP on it. it works as it should and technically i am losing money on it after putting the new control panel on it with all sanwa parts. anyway. the cab is very nice now and id keep it myself if i didn't already have 4 other cabs.
heres a pic of the tourney...you can tell the xiongba monitor is in the closest cab cause its flat.
