Hi,
I'm in the process of buying a MAME cabinet in a candy cab format (Kraylix 'Vewlix' Mame/Console cab). I'm looking at using a reasonable spec i5 mini-pc to use as my front end / mame system for the cab. I really like the look, size and price of the Intel NUC devices. However most of these small form factor systems don't have VGA out which could be used with a scanline generator like the the SLG-3000. What are my options for getting a really good "CRT" style effect on a modern LCD monitor with a small PC system? On my main PC mini tower system, which has an Nvidia GTX-970, I've been using the new HLSL and OpenGL shaders to create arcade monitor effects but I'm not convinced that will be good enough for the cabinet.
Thanks,
John
