Re: mame scanlines
Hey, can someone hook me up with the right PNG file?
Im running mame on my plasma at 640 x 480 via vga.. just wondering what you think would look best? I usually go for about 50% scanlines on FBA and K fusion... cat find anything to my liking on mame though as of yet.
cheers

Re: mame scanlines
I can't help with cools' png but is your plasma 480 pixels tall? If not, you really want to be outputting to your plasma's native resolution. Repeat patterns don't scale well to a non-integer factor - let alone twice.
Also, compared to LCDs, I find plasmas tend to be quite kind to upscaled pixels without the scan lines.

Re: mame scanlines
It could be due to the differing resolutions of the specific system or game. There are so many options in Mame it's easier for you to have a play than it is for me to suggest trying something. For example, try out prescale set to off, 2 or 3 to best suit your TV and preference.
