Akai Katana has been dumped too.
Gundarn may have a point.

Re: Anyone complied the 'cave' mame release?
gundarN,
Anyway I don't believe that's the core issue. This is copyright protection plain and simple imo. The majority of gamers havent got a clue wtf MAME is!
Sorry you didn't even say "some" you "inferred" that emulation would cause Cave to go tits up. Whether you meant that or not, that is what I understood from your statement and commented as such. Apologies if this was misunderstood.I only said "some" revenue. If this wasn't the case, why would Cave ask people not to do it?

Apologies as I meant commercial market. The guys "in to" MAME are very unlikely to of bought the PCB's or 360 originals in any case. Exposure to potential loss of income because of MAME is extremely limited imo. You always get the people that will and the people that won't.Are you saying the buyers of Cave's 360 releases are a mass market audience, and that only a few hardcore gamers use MAME?
If anything, I would say it's the other way round. Their iOS games are more mass market, I'll give you that.

Fortunately, everyone is entitled to their own opinion (even if it's wrong)...gundarN really did write this wrote:Surely even this version of Mame cuts off some revenue for Cave?

I prefer real PCB's myself... but MAME can be fun for those games you just haven't collected yet.

It is possible to prove with Chaos Theory that simply looking at this thread will put Cave out of business.
