rotation software

Post by brendz »

hey hey, have a mame cocktail cab but the way the monitor is setup its upsidedown (and the monitor only fits in the cab one way). im using an older video card that doesnt have a rotate function i can find. Is there some free software to rotate the screen 180 in a simple fashion.

Hi brendz,

I had a similar problem with my first MAME cab and is the main reason why I decided to go with AdvMENU as my front end.

It supports native rotation which none of the other FE's do.

Not the simplest option, but certainly the cheapest.

Cheers,

Ralph.

the ctrl+alt aroow key didnt work

The cost of rotation software will be prohibitive, much better just to buy a cheap second had video card from ebay or the like.

This information is based on my attempts from around 5 years ago, so things may have moved on apace since then.

Don't quote me, but I am fairly sure that ATI Catalyst drivers have a rotate feature.
Your easiest option would be to pick up a cheap ATI gfx card.
