Re: Blast City Bulb Help and Replacement

The bulbs are powered by AC voltage. You just need to disconnect the connector from the control PCB and connect it straight to an AC output. However, you will most likely need to hack up an extension. The small board on the left in your last pic looks like it distributes AC voltage. Find out where e...

Magic erasers are abrasive.

They are, but probably not to the point that they will work on stained fiberglass.

2) the light is controlled by a relay, so it's just a matter of taking out whatever control PCB is between it and the current.

Re: Boot or Original : Post original/bootleg PCB photos here.

My JPN region board looks like this: sfex2pj.jpg The mask roms you have on your board are genuine, so at least that part is legit. Honestly, it doesn't look that different. Slightly poorer quality stickers and a different rom board number. A later revision? A conversion? (Capcom aren't exactly unkno...

Re: Will the monitor fit?

I have been running eleven Blast City cabs for close to two years almost daily. All of them have their original monitors (mostly MS2930, two of them have MS2931 IIRC) and every single has been working just fine. I think the monitor issue has been overblown massively. Oh, and all of them have the bla...

The bezel won't be flush against the screen. However, I seem to remember the screen sitting lower, so at least you don't have to remove it altogether.

Re: 605-0041, 2a6b and 2l12b connectors

Sega changed the kickharness connector pinout for the Naomi Universal / Net City for some stupid reason. The 2nd one down is an adapter that converts the old pinout (Astro, Blast City) to the newer one, so you can use an older kick harness loom.

2's backgrounds are animated, X's / 3's aren't. One big reason why the latter games run better.

Re: astro city monitor bracket size

Just measured mine.

From edge to edge the length is 550mm:

Code: Select all

|------------------ 550mm --------------------|
 O                                           O

The size of the hole is 16mm.

So from center to center, it's 534mm.

Re: WTB Seimitsu mounting plates for Sega panel

It will work, but its going to to start grinding against the shaft once the pivot worns out, theres an LS-32 version of that same mounting plate with a wider hole. The one with the wider hole is just a newer design. I've never had the shaft grind against the edge. I guess it's possible, but at that...

Re: WTB Seimitsu mounting plates for Sega panel

6 will work with all Seimitsu sticks BAR the LS-32 since the hole is too narrow for its "throw". That's not true. 6 is the correct mounting plate for the 32. It's just an older style one with the smaller hole. 6 won't work with LS-55 or LS-56 as the mounting holes for the stick are too fa...
