Re: Mini Korean cab info

Probably because they're Korean?

The manufacturer / reseller is still in business.

Re: Naomi - button 6 not working?

Your pics don't work.

Check here:

I haven't seen ver 2, however, my guess is the auxiliary connector is the same.

Model 2 / 3 boots without FF. No idea if there's later checks in the game. Probably not?

Re: Astro City Jamma Harness Replacement & Power Grounding

Sorry, poorly explained on my part. There's a black nut (or a regular nut) at the back of the cab, next to where the power lead comes out. Unscrew the nut and wire earth ground to the post with a ring or fork terminal.

Re: Nesica on my Taito Type X2

I'm even game to just getting the real NesicaxLive on my cab and paying for the games. I can't even find information on how to do that. Unfortunately, that's not possible. It's for Japanese arcades only (and Round 1 in the states, I guess). Running Nesica at home is basically piracy, that's why the...

Re: Use Daytona USA cab with other boards?

Getting force feedback to work is the issue. Daytona USA and Sega Rally both use the older dashboard with the twin belt driven system, everything else (I think?) works with one belt and motor. However, later dashboards are easily available and use the same mounting points. Grab yourself one, and the...

Re: Virtua Fighter 3 Model 3 filter board harness on a Blast City

If you have the 001 loom, buy the proper female connector for it and wire it up: http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/JST_VL If your friend doesn't have the 001 loom, (s)he would have to tap it from the IO board inside the cabinet. Easiest would be to buy the proper pins and add them to the AMP UP connecto...

Re: Virtua Fighter 3 Model 3 filter board harness on a Blast City

There's actually a proper original Model 3 harness available for the Blast City. I'm sure they pop up here and then on Yahoo Japan. Your friend needs to cross reference this: http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/sega_model3_pcb_arcde_filter_board_pinout.gif with the jamma pinout and fi...

Re: Astro City Jamma Harness Replacement & Power Grounding

Astros have a two pin AC power lead as standard. There's a separate screw on the back for grounding. Have you connected it? It's impossible to see what's exactly wrong with your harnesses. Is it just the player looms? Easiest would be to buy replacement looms or if you like to DIY, lob off the old c...

Well, I'm not sure if that patch is the same as the one in "jedpossum" trainer patch :problem: It's a feature in it yes. However, I'm not interested in the whole patch, just the random BG. I'll PM jedpossum on another forum and see if when can work it out. It works on normal decrypted boa...

Re: Naomi - button 6 not working?

Pandora's Box isn't technically Jamma. There's your problem. Button 6 needs to be wired to an auxiliary connector.

What IO are you using and what cab is it?

Nope, there's no control over it. Sound like it's on its way out. It's a standard 80x80mm 12V fan. Best just to swap it for a new one.

Re: Anyone good with namco 246?

There's two pairs of leads coming from the yoke. One pair is for horizontal, the other for vertical deflection (the one you want). Flip one pair 180 degrees. There's no harm done if you flip the wrong one, the picture will just be mirrored. Unflip the wrong one and then flip the right one. EDIT: I j...

Re: Blast City - sound problems

It's more than likely a contact issue. The slideout PSU is a dumb design. I had a Blast that had poor sound, the issue was in the large connector that connects the harness between the PSU. Cleaning it thoroughly solved my problem. I would also check the pot. You could jump the pot to rule it out. So...
