Re: Nanao MS9 29S

Fabricating new pads is super time consuming if you're going to do right:

Lifting pads is unavoidable with these chassis considering how much heat they've had to endure during their lifespan. Honestly, jumping the trace with the leg is perfectly fine.

Re: Help w/ Nanao MS8-26SG

Ahh, you're right, I double checked and mine are indeed SU. I just recently recapped a MS8-28. Just to make sure, you don't have any neck glow, do you? Because with the -28 I initially had a black screen. I needed to turn up the voltage on the flyback for the raster to appear. Naturally you shouldn'...

Re: Help w/ Nanao MS8-26SG

The yoke is the funnel like thing infront of the neck board. You're missing the 4 pin connector that connects the yoke from your list. Red, blue, yellow, brown IIRC. Of the few other sources of information I've found on this particular model, one was by a fellow collector on the KLOV forums who had ...

Unfortunately, the site is US centric. For instance Vizio is not available in Europe.

Some guy on another forum dunked his MS-2390 chassis in an ultrasonic bath :eh:

I'm sure it came out clean.

Re: Extron DVS as an alternative to SCART to YUV Scalers?

Most guys here are from Europe and we don't have component inputs on our CRTs. I think the correct place to ask is the hardware section of the Shmups forum:

Is that what that is? I was thinking it was the laminate peeling off. I had that happen in a Naomi panel.

You have two boards that both have the same problem? You sure it's not something else?

How are they exactly 'dead'?

EDIT: nevermind, I just noticed your thread!

Re: Sega Aero City Control Panel

Hit it with a heat gun / hair dryer, get it nice and toasty and then peel it off. Wear some gloves to protect your hands. If you're lucky it will only leave very little adhesive behind which you can rub off with some white spirit. If there's a lot of adhesive, put some paint stripper on it, let it d...

Re: New Jamma game - SKYCURSER

Again, the game is made on GameMaker. Not sure what you guys are expecting. Who's going to engineer a X86 based motherboard when you can pick up a perfectly good one for 30 euros from the nearest computer store.

Re: New Jamma game - SKYCURSER

What else do you expect to find inside?

The game's built on GameMaker. There's bound to be some cheap PC inside. Add a JPAC clone and voila, "all new professional hardware platform Airframe"

(For the record, a lot of good games are made on GameMaker.)

Good for Wombat for getting that Grail money. He had it for six months, so it doesn't really qualify for flipping.

This exact copy was sold twice on this forum for 600 euros last autumn. I did a double take when I saw the auction end price.
