Re: Nanao MS8-29 (Sega Astro City) Calibration Help

screen volts should be nowhere near max

I setup by turning everything to 0 and then set cut offs to about 10-12,set brightness to about 12,screen volts up until a reasonable picture appears and then use gains to get depth-then fine tune everything

Re: Anyone good with namco 246?

these systems do not activate the rom drive until it needs to with certain brand drives, you should ignore this issue whilst fault finding where did you read the +5, if not at the system 246 power input then you are wasting your time as there will be a certain amount of voltage drop across the cable...

Re: Nanao MS8-29 (Sega Astro City) Calibration Help

ms8-29 do not have contrast control, contrast is achieved through adjustment of cut offs and gains

Re: Nanao MS8-29 (Sega Astro City) Calibration Help

you also have colour cut offs on the main chassis, on this particular chassis the gains and cut offs affect each other so calibration can be painstaking

Re: Difference MS8-29 MS9-29 ?

ms9-29 is a much better chassis is regards to reliability and user controls
both chassis correctly calibrated are of similar picture quality, the ms9 is a lot easier to calibrate though
there are a lot of differences between these two chassis
