Re: PS360+ vs Xbox 360 Timer board

There are more expensive Chinese timer boards available that are programmed to function with specific games... the credit functionality is quite impressive. I'd take care with the 360 timers as not all of them support controller inputs through the JAMMA edge; I think the one you linked to probably d...

Re: Type X3

Simple cloning won't work since the protection schemes also incorporate the drive serial numbers as Andy explained. You'd probably have to make FW modifications in order for any clone of an original drive to work with an existing dongle. Most popular games have been dumped, so I don't think cloning ...

Re: Taito Type X2 Games.

How exactly did the upgrades work? Where they one time use USB drives that upgraded the image on the harddrive?? You had to send the drives back to Taito to have them updated. This was also true for Street Fighter 4 (AE->Ver.2012). Sega did distribute updates for Ring hardware prior to ALL.NET on U...

Re: Taito Type X2 Games.

not even sure CS2 was released as upgrade kit or full kit, i know a few shops listed it, but Taito said nope when i asked. the Climax thing is really stupid thou. CS2 was released as a kit and Extend was available as an upgrade. Quantities were extremely limited, moreso than Climax, and it sold eve...

Re: Taito Type X2 Games.

Little demand. CS2 was already available on NESiCA (the offline version was mostly for export operators) and Climax was just produced in small quantities, likely because SNK is poor or something. :awe: NESiCA titles haven't been dumped yet, but word around the watercooler is a few folks have been tr...

What's a good email to reach you guys to arrange for the sound fix to be done? I have a couple of the kits I'd like this to be sorted out on.

Re: Taito Type X2 with SSFIV JVS Error.

I sincerely doubt this is an issue, but it may be worth opening the TX2s and checking the revisions of the JVS board in the PCI slot.

Do you mean 357/359/369 or the PC board they're using for T7?

The former has been mostly cracked; dumps exist for a lot of the titles with the online checks removed.

Some titles were only released in extremely small quantities (KOFXIII Climax, BlazBlue CS2).

Re: Taito Type X2 in Sega Aero City

You need an I/O converter and something to downscale the video to 15k.

There are hacks to enable 15k out on TX2, but they're sold by a less than scrupulous character. If you Google around, you can find it if you're interested.

Recent issues have basically been 50 pgs of Lord of Vermillion, so... no. :awe:

However, if the price was right (< 10 EUR) or a subscription was offered to get the price down to about that level, I would consider it.

Re: Namco Noir Cabinet compatability Taito Type X2??

Could be specific to the Revision of the I/O board... could also be an issue with the Model of the TX2 board. JVS I/Os typically have all sorts of weird compatibility issues. If it's possible to reach out to the French Arcade to confirm the I/O board and Revision in the cab, and the Model # of the T...

What I/O board are you using?

Do you have another I/O board or another cabinet to test?

Not sure what you're looking at exactly, but it sounds like you may need to splice a power cord in there so you can plug it into the wall.

Pictures would be helpful here.

Re: Taito Type X2 with SSFIV JVS Error.

Network update DIP is set on ON. Check the wiki: http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Taito_Type_X%C2%B2#DIP_Switches Verify DIP #4 is set to ON--if it is, switch it off, and let it power cycle a few times. Game should boot with no issues. if DIP #4 is off or the issue persists, don't know what to tell you...

Re: Unable to boot SSF4 on Type x2

Are you trying dongles specifically for SSF4, specifically with the keys for the HDD you're trying to use them with?

You can't just mix and match the dongles; the dongles are paired with their respective HDDs and the keys ONLY decrypt the drives they are paired with.
